The mission of the Early Childhood Education Program is to teach individuals the correct policies, procedures, skills and attitudes to become successfully employed within the child care services industry. The program is designed to educate the student and provide the learning experiences necessary in regard and exposure to leadership, citizenship, teamwork, child development, safe and healthy learning environments, guidance and behavior management techniques, nutrition, developmentally appropriate activities, curriculum and instruction, as well as professional practices and standards related to working within the early childhood education industry.
The program consists of both classroom and laboratory instruction. The classroom and lab are located within the Tennessee Technology Child Care Center. Completion prepares the student with intensive child care education and training to enter the childcare services field.

CHILD CARE CENTER
The Child Care Center at the Tennessee Technology Center at Hohenwald has been in operation since January 1990. The Child Care Center is licensed by the State of Tennessee and adheres to the laws and regulations as set forth of day care facilities in our state. The Child Care Center is authorized to care for 60 children, and is staffed for ages six weeks to 12 years. Current fee charges may be obtained by contacting the Child Care Center.
