The students of Tennessee Technology Center at Hohenwald are enjoying a new technology in the program area of Industrial Maintenance. The Citizens Bank of Lewis County in corporation with Wayne County Bank donated a state of the art PlasmaCam 4’X 4’Cutting table with Control Software Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 51 to the school. The students are lined up to utilize the new piece of equipment. The Plasma cutter possesses the capability to cutting all types of designs into various types of metal. The accompanying software package has many numerous programmed designs or with knowledge of the system, a student may competently design and “cut” his own creation.
Rick Brewer, TTC Director stated, “A donation of this caliber of equipment is almost unheard of, as it is likely valued at $18,000.00, plus; however, Citizens Bank and Wayne County Bank have been long time friends of the Tennessee Technology Center. We greatly appreciate the assistance provided to the school in acquiring tremendous resources, such as the Plasma Cutter. The donation to the TTC not only assists one or two students, but in essence benefits a broader scope and mass of students as it will touch the lives of many students for years to come as they are trained in many professions. A gift of this magnitude is truly a gift to and investment in the community. I would like to thank Citizen’s Bank, Wayne County Bank and President Greg Hankins!”
